SCENT. Sunlight and ground sand, driftwood and sea salt, flax oils, and leaf. He has a very earthy scent and like most of the Omaticaya, he smells of the dense jungles of Pandora.
PRESENCE. Neteyam has a somewhat unsuspecting presence, he carries himself confidently and with certainty, yet he does not go out of his way to take up room. This can often lead to Neteyam being overlooked at first glance, holding himself away from the center and spotlight.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .𝐁𝐈𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐏𝐇𝐘. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Neteyam was born and raised in the wild jungles of Pandora and is one of the youngest adults of the Omaticaya clan. He has an exceptionally strong connection to the jungle, considering the wilds of Pandora his home after spending the majority of his childhood living among the trees as the Omaticaya clan moved from one place to the other as nomads.Eventually, the Omaticaya settled outside of the former RDA base known as Hell's Gate. Neteyam is the oldest son of Neytiri and Jake Sully, grandson of Mo'at the Tsahìk, or Spiritual guide and healer of his clan. He has three younger siblings, his adopted sister Kiri, his brother Lo'ak, and his youngest sister Tukirey.Neteyam attempts to be a positive role model to his siblings and does his best to lead by example, however, he also feels as if he is under immense pressure to be the best, to prove himself as just as capable as his huntress mother, and his warrior father.Neteyam is resistant to the use, implementation, and reliance on human technology, only tolerating what is necessary for the survival of their human allies. When the RDA returns to Pandora, his tolerance extends to the use of human weapons to defend themselves against their invaders.Neteyam primarily operates with the Na'vi Resistance as a Spotter, tasked with patrolling the skies and keeping watch for enemy combatants. When he isn't partnered with his younger brother Lo'ak, he is trusted as a lead scout, often tasked with patrolling and gathering intelligence on the RDA's movements and operations.Unknown to his father, Neteyam will often follow RDA patrols in an effort to find and locate outposts, and hidden caches, and map out route plans. Neteyam has honed his physical and athletic ability and is considered on of the best hunters and fighters of his generation. Like all Na'vi, Neteyam uses his superior skills and uncanny balance to scale trees, rocks, and other obstacles with ease. HIs bones are also reinforced with a type of naturally occurring carbon fiber. Setting him apart from humans and other Na'vi / Avatar Hybrids, Neteyam has four digits on each hand and foot, including an opposable thumb and thumb toe.His skin is smooth and iridescent, and is a dark cobalt blue with visible darker-coloured markings reminiscent of the Earth's tiger stripes. He also has bioluminescent markings that resemble freckles that follow the circulatory or nervous system. These dots can appear brighter and clearer to indicate mood and emotion, and appear more visible in the dark.Neteyam has long black hair sectioned off and braided around his queue for protection. The queue is a single "neural whip" covered in a protective layer of skin and houses a set of thin, pinkish tendrils that is an extension of his nervous system. He is able to connect with other creatures and Na'vi to enable a mental connection. VERSE I. ➵ BEFORE TWOW. It has been years since Neteyam and his family relocated to their new home and slowly the Omaticaya clan has begun to heal. Neteyam undergoes his iknimaya, his rite of passage into adulthood.VERSE II. ➵ RDA'S RETURN. Neteyam and his family are once again displaced as the human's return, scorching the earth and uprooting the jungle that Neteyam had come to call home. Forced to relocate to the floating mountains, Neteyam follows his father and the other hunters in combating the expansion of the humans and their technology as a spotter and scout.VERSE III. ➵ THE JOURNEY. Under his father's leadership, Neteyam joins his family on a perilous journey across the sea to Awa'atlu, the village of the Metkayina clan. Here, Neteyam must once again prove himself as a worthy son, hunter, and warrior.VERSE IV. ➵ CAPTURED AU. In the final confrontation between Quaritch and the RDA, Neteyam is captured by the enemy and imprisoned against his will. Intent to be used as a negotiating chip, Neteyam must resist the RDA's efforts to use him to gain information and work to escape his captors.

VERSE V. ➵ BROTHERS KEEPER AU. Lo'ak is mortally wounded when rescuing their adoptive brother Spider from the clutches of the RDA and Neteyam holds himself responsible. Mourning the loss of his younger brother, Neteyam is consumed with grief, anger, and hate. Leaving his family, Neteyam chooses exile, driven by his need for revenge.VERSE VI. ➵ SURVIVED AU. Neteyam survived the gunshot wound but needs extensive physiotherapy and healing to recover. He experiences constant pain, loses feeling and mobility when exerting himself and has severe nerve damage.VERSE VII. ➵ FRONTIERS. TBA.

STAR WARS. Pandora is a planet beyond the outer rim, their contact with species beyond their planet has been incredibly hostile as the Na'vi fight to protect their planet from poacher's, thieves, and invaders. They have waged a resistance against invading forces since their founding. News reached galactic interest after the invading forces were sacked by the indigenous people.Almost sixteen years later, various planetary forces have attempted to establish contact with the Na'vi to negotiate settlements, alliances, and treaty agreements but have yet been unsuccessful.As the oldest son of his clan chief, Neteyam is often tasked with meeting and escorting visiting diplomats to the Omaticaya village.

THE EXPANSE. Pandora is one of the planet's beyond the rings and one of the only planets to be found already inhabited. Since first contact, the Na'vi have developed a cautious but reasonably peaceful relationship with humans of Earth, Mars, and the Belt. Neteyam finds himself enjoying the company of Belters, but has yet to agree to leave Pandora, preferring to remain on his home planet and interact with humans there.TBA. MASS EFFECT. The Na'vi are reasonably new to space travel, having made contact with the Council species shortly after the Human-Turian first contact war. However, Pandora has been a victim to a rogue human operation known as the RDA and hostilities between the indigenous species and the invaders are at an all time high.With the arrival of the Reapers however, Pandora is attempting to destroy their space travel machines and technology in an effort to protect themselves. In order to improve clan connection and unity, the clans have gathered in neutral territory for the annual Great Hunt. The clans choose the youngest adults whose skills are best and enter a week-long show of expertise. It is a time of great celebration, many clans travel from far reaches, trade in skills and lessons, nights of festivities, communal meals, storytelling, and performances. Neteyam is selected to compete in the Great Hunt by popular vote. Threads can involve the lead-up to and training for or during the Great Hunt.CONTRIBUTIONS. ➵ can be set any time.
Na'vi society and communities are built on cooperation, all clan members must contribute to the survival of the clan. Therefore, hunting, harvesting, or gathering resources is essential. Threads can revolve around these aspects. Hunts are more likely to only involve those recognised as adults, but harvesting and gathering can and should involve even the young. Similarly, many Na'vi would specialise or dabble in certain trades to also contribute to the clan. Pandora is an enormous world of both sanctuary and danger, excitement and anxiety. There are many flora and fauna, both friendly and unfriendly, safe and unsafe. The RDA is quickly expanding and the Na'vi must act quickly to evacuate and relocate to relative safety. RDA clearing machines are everywhere, so too are RDA armed forces protecting their machines from attacks. Na'vi Resistance against the RDA is growing as fighters, hunters, warriors, and strategists come together to combat the invading forces. Human scientists and researchers working alongside war chiefs in strategising ways of combining technology and traditional skills and abilities. Warriors and soldiers band together to attack, defend, and conquor, while others spy on the enemies movements, identify weak points in enemy technology, and locate camps, sentinels, patrol routes, transport cargo, and other essential materials. Our threads can involve a wide range of missions, tasks, or operations regarding these things.

Neteyam's jungle skills are useless in the waters, he must adapt to the new lifestyle of the Metkayina clan, and he must do so while keeping watch over his younger siblings. Living from the ocean doesn't come easily to Neteyam, he works hard but his skill pales in comparison to his siblings, causing him to retreat into himself. Our threads can involve Neteyam's unspoken desire to return to the jungles, can involve training as a free diver, riding ilu, or exploring the reefs. As an adult, Neteyam can also potentially leave the safety of the reef to explore beyond it. The RDA's reach is long, their research machines can be found everywhere, including within the Reef people's territories. Our threads can include uncovering scanning, harvesting, or research machinery, following, stealing, or destroying them. Neteyam has returned to the mysterious consciousness known to the Na'vi as the Great Mother, Eywa. Through the Na'vi's ability to connect with the Spirit Tree, those closest to Neteyam can find him living on within the unidentified collective consciousness of all those welcomed by Eywa. Neteyam survived his wounds but needs to adjust to his new ailments. He is in constant physical pain and when overexerted he can lose motor skills, limbs becoming weak or losing feeling in them entirely. He must work closely with Ronal to relearn how to move, doing even simple tasks now requires extreme focus and discipline.THE PRODIGAL SON. ➵ brothers keeper au, lo'ak is the son that is mortally wounded.
Blaming himself for his brother's death, Neteyam flees from his family, from the Metkayina clan, and from Awa'atlu. Consumed by grief, shame, and rage, he chooses self-imposed exile and takes the fight to the RDA as a lone avenger. Knowing his family is sure to try and find him, Neteyam covers his tracks and returns to the jungle. Our threads can involve Neteyam's descent as he lets his anger and grief consume him. He is extremely volatile, hostile, aggressive, and cold. He is killing any and all RDA that he comes across, for certain members he has taken them prisoner and forced them to reveal vital information. He has destroyed outposts, wiped out entire patrolling teams, and is being called "nightshade". For now, no one knows Nightshade's true identity, not the RDA or the Na'vi, though Mo'at suspects the truth. She knows he is in the jungle, she sometimes leaves food out for him by the creek and Neteyam sometimes takes it. Our threads can involve any of the mentioned plot points.
